2010 Pulitzer Prize recipient and 1986 graduate of Carleton College T.J. Stiles will speak at the Northfield Historical Society on Thursday June 16th at 8:00 p.m. (after the bank raid) as part of the Taste of Northfield.  Stiles presentation is titled James vs Ames: How the two visions of America collided at the Northfield Bank Robbery.

Stiles is the author of The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt, winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for biography and 2009 National Book Award for nonfiction, and Jesse James: Last Rebel of the Civil War winner of the Ambassador Book Award and the Peter Seaborg Award for Civil War Scholarship.

The presentation will start after a bank raid re-enactment by the James-Younger Gang that is slated to start at 7:00 p.m.  You can check out the rest of the Taste of Northfield Events here.
